Instructed by their handler they lifted with their trunk Recyclable Materials and placed them into the different compartments for Recycling, on their way out one elephant decided to pose for a photo beside the information sign. (Clever Elephant).
You know the saying “An Elephant never forgets”.
So start Recycling and you too will never forget.
In recognition of National Tree Week and all the good work by our many recyclers we distributed 5000 trees throughout the country to school children and members of the public. Attached to each tree was a bag of free Organic Compost made from the recycling centres grass and hedge cuttings.
On of the many Free School Tours conducted on site. Its a fun time for all visiting. Pupils learn the benefits of Recycling, They even bring with them materials from their class room. Great excitement is had touring the ‘Double Decker Recycling Bus’ which is covered using 250,000 aluminium drink cans. On leaving the pupils are presented with a ‘Recycling Certificate’ and a memorable photo of their visit.
One of our many Open days where FUN and RECYCLING go very well together. The theme of the day was “Recycling for a Better Environment” The message was clearly expressed and was picked up by the local and national media.
